Game Breeding

Through the cooperation between the Balepye Community and Private Business Initiative, Government will assist the Balepye Community by donating game for breeding purposes to them which will be the start of an extensive game breeding venture on Vygeboom. The project will be managed by skilled and experienced Game Farmers from the private sector in partnership with the community. In the process there will also be a skills transfer to the community as well as job creation.

A profit share model will also ensure that the community benefit richly from the lucrative returns currently gained from game breeding. The focus will be on breeding scarce species like Buffalo, Sable antelope and Roan antelope.
